London Cycle Link is a member supported non-profit dedicated to helping Londoners ride more. Through education, advocacy and community-building efforts we envision a healthy, vibrant London where it’s safe and convenient for everyone to cycle. We host events, teach cycling skills, launch campaigns and operate the Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op to achieve our impact.
The Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op is a DIY community bike shop providing Londoners with an accessible environment where they can learn about bicycle maintenance and cycling as a safe and sustainable means of transportation. We seek to be a hub and source of support connecting all Londoners with the resources they need to become confident, competent cyclists. About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and organized individual interested in building our capacity to better serve our vibrant and growing community. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in developing our programs and engaging our volunteer base. The role will require flexibility, personal initiative, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with staff and volunteers.
The program coordinator will spend most of their time on volunteer coordination and will also work on planning and facilitating workshops and events, supporting Squeaky Wheel’s operations and building community partnerships. Each day will be a blend of these tasks, requiring both collaboration and independence. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with volunteer coordination or program development experience, basic mechanic skills and a strong interest to learn more.

Duties and Responsibilities
Works independently, or with volunteer committees, to run or support programs. Includes bike repair workshops, Earn-a-Bike, cycling skills training, Women Trans Femme events, and all community partnerships.
Coordinates volunteers including facilitating volunteer orientation and training, scheduling and communicating with volunteers, and supporting a weekly volunteer night at Squeaky Wheel
Expands our community outreach efforts by supporting community events, fostering relationships with new organizations, and hosting safety checks in public places
Supports the daily operations of Squeaky Wheel by assisting the shop manager and volunteers with helping customers and responding to online inquiries
Captures and shares photos/ videos/ stories on social media and newsletters
Tracks and reports on key performance indicators related to programming to fulfill grant and strategic requirements
Qualifications
You enjoy working with people from all walks of life, all backgrounds, and all ability levels
Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills
You have experience coordinating volunteers, planning events, or developing programs
Can work both independently and with a small team
Basic computer skills (word processing, emails)
Assets
Experience working for or volunteering with a non-profit organization
Experience with bike shops, either as a volunteer or staff member
A strong understanding of and commitment to anti-oppressive values and practices
Digital communication skills including social media, website, and videography
Knowledge/interest in cycling culture and cycling advocacy
Beginner to Intermediate bike mechanic skills and an eagerness to learn more
Job Details
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 /hr (depending on experience)
Hours: 15-25 hours / week - some evening and weekend work required
Six-month contract with hopes to expand term and hours
