Every day we make decisions, conscious or not, about how we will get around in the city. No matter what your current behaviour is, this workshop will help you bring your transportation choices one step closer to an active, healthy and integrated lifestyle.
We will begin the workshop by learning about our specific needs and how we interact with and perceive our cities. Following this we will design the next steps we can take, based on an intentional health behaviour change model.
Personal transportation is the largest source of carbon emissions in London, and only 8% of kids and 18% of adults are meeting current recommendations for physical activity. A daily active commute can significantly contribute to better health for ourselves and our environment.
Join London Cycle Link Board Chair Luis Patricio to discuss individual and collective needs to improve our daily commute and create better cities.
This workshop is part of a series by the London Public Library’s Environmentalist in Residence Program (see page 26).
